Progression & Careers

After qualifying, you can work as:

  • Children’s Residential Manager or Deputy Manager

  • Team or Service Manager within local authorities or charities

Progression routes include:

  • Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership

  • Foundation Degree or BA (Hons) in Social Care, Youth Work, or Early Childhood Leadership

  • Specialist training for Ofsted Registered Manager status

  • Learners must be aged 16 or over

  • Employed in a relevant childcare, youth, or family support setting

  • Enhanced DBS check required

  • Level 3 qualification in a related field (e.g. Early Years, Youth Work, or Residential Childcare)

  • English and Maths at Level 2 (or achieved before completion)

  • Delivered by experienced social care and education professionals
