The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course provides essential life-saving skills for employees in low-risk environments such as offices, shops, and small businesses.

This one-day course covers the key techniques and knowledge required to respond confidently to a range of medical emergencies. Delegates will leave with a recognised St John Ambulance certificate, valid for three years, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Assess an emergency situation and ensure safety

  • Provide CPR and use an AED (automated external defibrillator)

  • Place a casualty in the recovery position

  • Manage choking, bleeding, burns, and shock

  • Recognise and respond to seizures, fainting, and minor injuries
